The irony is not lost on us! We understand this is a FAMILY business with a FAMILY blog. However memes like this can put great pressure on parents. Frankly, if we aren't careful, we can end up creating some behaviors of ungratefulness and unreasonable expectations. Don't get us wrong. We are not perfect at this in any way. This is something we have to work at every single day. Whether we are married and trying to put our spouses first or an unmarried parent who simply needs some self care to keep going, our kids will benefit from learning at an early age that they are not the center of everyone's universe. So parents, don't hesitate for a minute if you need to step away or tell your children you promise to play with them after you read a few chapters of your current book. IT'S OKAY!
